| Market Your List > Privacy Concerns |
If you’re reluctant to consider marketing your mailing or customer list due to privacy concerns, take a moment to consider all sides of this critical and sensitive issue.
CHECK OUT what differentiates Infocore from other list managers.
Your customers absolutely expect you to safeguard their sensitive information – credit card information, social security numbers and the like. And, as per the current legislation, your Privacy Policy probably explicitly states that you’ll do just that.
Understand that direct marketers do not seek that information. Instead, they seek only the names and addresses of the individuals on your list, along with a bit of context about whether they’ve responded to or taken action on recent offers. They seek only to send offers to these individuals that would be of interest to them given their past purchase behavior.
While we would never suggest that you betray the trust your customers have placed in you, we also recognize that direct marketing works for a reason: it brings buyers products and services they seek and which they can consider at a time of their choosing in the comfort of their own homes. If managed scrupulously with full disclosure and careful handling that allows customers to opt-out, you will not have violated any portion of your customer’s trust in you.
